Victory Combat Sports returns with Victory 5, promising more exciting mixed martial arts action and some surprises on Friday, April 25th. The show will be held at the 69th Regiment Armory (located at 26th Street and Lexington Avenue)
Victory threw the first legally sanctioned MMA show on May 17th, 2013 at Terminal 5 in Manhattan, and followed it up by three more successful shows in Boston and New York City. Take On Productions CEO Michael Gasparski has joined the Victory team as Chief Operating Officer bringing with him the experience of having produced over 25 kickboxing shows.
Fresh off signing a broadcasting deal with New England Sports Network (NESN), Victory is looking to continue raising the bar with this year with events scheduled all over the Northeast. First step will be Victory V.
On what the fans will experience on April 25th, Victory CEO Kevin Lillis commented “Victory veterans Marcus Surin of C3 Athletics, Chris Evans and Israel Machuca of Renzo Gracie’s Academy, NJ Mac of Square Circle, and Michael Casill of American Top Team are all going to be returning for this one. We are also looking to set a ranking in the 145, 155, 170, and 185 lb divisions- so we’ll be starting the 145 lb and 155 lb four-man tournaments on April 25th. At our next NYC event we’ll have the finals of the 145 and 155 tournaments, and will start 170 and 185 as well.”
World Kickboxing Association will be sanctioning the event.
