Finally after 4 long weeks, we are going to see a UFC event! While the main event was scrapped due to injury, there are still plenty of good fights to make this a worthwhile purchase. Let’s take a look at the main card and give you our predictions.

Main Event: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Matt Hamill

Who will win: Matt Hamill via Unanimous Decision

Why: Rampage is one of my favorite fighters. He has a great personality, is entertaining, and loves to trade punches. However, the blueprint on how to beat him is easy to see;get him to the ground. Matt Hamill is one of the best in the LHW division at getting you to the ground and grinding out a win and that’s exactly what will happen on Saturday night.

Co-Main Event: Frank Mir vs. Roy “Big Country” Nelson

Who will win: Frank Mir via TKO in Round 2

Why: Although both men are well versed in BJJ, I believe we are going to see a boxing match. Both fighters pack a big punch but Mir will use his superior athleticism to take out Nelson.

Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne

Who will win: Struve by KO in Round 1

Why: Struve is finally figuring out how to use his height and reach to his advantage and will make easy work of Browne. I’ll be surprised if this reaches the 3rd minute.

Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story

Who will win: Story def Alves via UD

Why: Both fighters will want the KO but will end up circling each other for most of the match. I don’t see this one being exciting.

Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago

Who will win: Stann by TKO in Round 3

Why: There will be some big punches landed in this one and Stann will be the last man standing. Expect “Fight of the Night” and “KO of the Night” to come from this one.

There’s the official knockoutlounge.com predictions for tonight. We expect a good card and the emergence of at least 2 future title contenders by the end of the night.
