Outside Da Cage: Who is Taylor “No Mercy” Stratford?

Taylor is 22 years old and living and fighting out of Las Vegas. She grew up in Reno, NV; she has two wonderful parents (Marsha & Ted). Taylor has an awesome boyfriend/coach, AJ Guardado and is a proud parent of two puppies, a pit mix named Boo and a Border collie Akita mix named Kaia.

Taylor attended college for a year at Truckee Meadows Community College before moving onto other opportunities that interested her more. She currently works at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as a food server at the pool. (How awesome is that to be outside by the pool all day?).

Taylor’s favorite memories growing up were being with her family and spending time on the beach.  Taylor said if she could go anywhere in the world, it would be Hawaii, where the whole island is surrounded by beaches.

Taylors focus right now in her life is fighting, if she wasn’t doing that, she would want to be a coach.

Taylor loves to be outside having fun but when inside, her favorite movie is Brave, her favorite show is New Girl and her favorite book is The Fall by Guillermo Del Toro.

When I asked Taylor to tell me one thing her fans did not know about her, she said she is terrified of spiders! She also said, “I'm pretty sure a ghost follows me around since I was younger.” She said she messed up and used Ouija board.  We got started talking about our experiences of ghosts and boogadies. I think we all have a fear of spiders and ghosts.

Watch for Taylor to make her pro debut in 2014! Ronda Rousey even claims that Taylor was her toughest opponent in the cage!

Taylor, you know I love ya and look forward to seeing you back in the cage!

She could've faced Ronda Rousey again in 2013 for the women's bantamweight belt and would be the new poster girl for the UFC. She also would've probably been on the UFC 2 cover game.
