According to the Bring MMA to NY official facebook page, they are hearing that the New York State Senate will vote to regulate MMA on Monday. Of course this is only the first step in the process. It must be approved committees in the General Assembly, home of the notorious assemblyman Bob Reilly, and brought up for a vote. After that it must be included in the Governor’s budget before it can finally be legalized.

Let’s hope that this is the first step toward legalization of MMA in the third largest state in America. The fighters from and around the state of New York deserve to showcase their talents in the “World’s Most Famous Arena”, Madison Square Garden, as well as other places throughout the state. Come on New York, it’s time to join the revolution!
